Anyone who periodically deals with insomnia can relate to the frustration of not being able to fall asleep in the first place or waking in the wee hours of the night only to stare at the clock waiting for dawn.To finally be able to close your eyes and rest should be one of those little blessed things in life.
Try to relax with a good massage. Even if you don't have someone available to help you out you can do wonders all by yourself. Apply a kneading pressure to your temples, behind your neck, shoulders and feet. A foot massage is a perfect introduction to the power of essential oils. Applied to the soles of our feet they are absorbed quickly and efficiently.
A warm evening bath can do wonders to unwind in readiness for sleep. This oil blend can also be used as an all over moisturizer. Body oils are an excellent way to nourish and lubricate your skin. For best results, apply after a bath or shower while your skin is till damp.
The chosen essential oils for this blend are bergamot, juniper, and sweet marjoram or mandarin, vanilla and vetiver. You choose at checkout which blend you would prefer.
All known for their aid in helping to still the mind, open us up to our spiritual needs, and just "clean out the clutter". Perhaps these therapeutic oils will lighten your emotional load enough that you can put your worries in perspective and be able to drift off into a deep slumber.
The base oils used are almond oil and jojoba oil, favorites in aromatherapy for their ease of application, absorption without leaving a greasy residue and their skin nourishing qualities. Almond oil does originate from almonds so take note if you have a nut allergy. Should you need a nut free oil convo me and we'll use another blend.
Our skin absorbs essential oils while the carrier oil will remain to soften and moisturize. Don't be surprised if you find the aroma doesn't seem as strong after a period of time. The nose will stop registering as it becomes tired of the stimulation. Essential oil molecules continue to work long after our sense of smell stops detecting them. Should someone else enter the room they would definitely smell the aromatics.
For use on the feet as in reflexology or just a good foot massage you will only need a dropper or two (1/2 tsp) amount per foot.
For a full back or body massage you may need 2 - 3 tsp.
When you squeeze the rubber dropper top it will fill about half way. Doing this twice will give you about 1/2 tsp. Four times will give you 1 tsp.
Restless Sleep Massage Oil comes in a 4 oz. amber glass dropper bottle. Should you prefer a 4 oz. white plastic pump or pop up type bottle let me know.
