Product Description

Rescued pets have no way to actually tell us the origins of their fears and anxieties. We try to help these emotionally based behavioral disorders by offering secure, safe havens free of stress. But past traumas are buried deep and all it takes is the loud bang of gunfire, fireworks or even door slamming, to send a shaking pet under the bed. Or perhaps with your companion it is dealing with separation anxiety, and our dog exhibits inappropriate chewing, either of his own tail or paws or your home furnishings. Before relying on anti-anxiety medication, try the power of herbal remedies. Lavender and chamomile are safe for pets and are great for calming fears.

The Sleep Aid, Anxiety Relief Spray consists of a combination of essential oils therapeutically known for their value in relaxing nervous excitability and fear. Animals need to feel safe and only then will they calm down and feel secure in their surroundings.

Lavender, chamomile, sweet orange, and ylang ylang are an excellent combination for anxiety, stressful situations, trouble sleeping and calming the fears in your pets from such things as thunderstorms, fireworks, gunshots, and even separation anxiety.

Learning how to calm down and contain oneself is something with which your dog may need a little help. The amazing properties of these plants can help curb the annoying pacing and whining common with some of our dogs.

Spray around the room as an air spray or spray the sleeping area or pet bedding, but do so sparingly in case you find the aromatics too strong.
You can also spray onto your hands and then rub around the ears, neck, down the spine, or onto the toe pads.

The concentration of this spray is for that of an air or linen spray. For applying directly to your pet you have a few choices. You can apply a light spritz onto your pet's collar. If you intend on spraying directly onto your dog's fur, do so sparingly and rub lightly into the fur. Since dogs have such a keen sense of smell, if you find it too strong, let me know and I will dilute it with additional distilled water and put into a larger bottle. Try to avoid getting the spray into the eyes, mouth or nasal passages. For the head area, spray your hands and massage it into the fur.
An alternative would be to request hydrosols rather than essential oils (as described below)

Do not use this spray directly on a cat. Cats have a higher risk for toxicity, therefore if you want a calming spray for your cat choose the hydrosol option at checkout. Hydrosols are floral waters, the water-based byproduct of the steam distillation of essential oils, and very gentle. The cat version will contain lavender and chamomile hydrosols rather than the essential oils.

This calming spray comes in a 4 oz. plastic bottle with a sprayer type top.
